Festive Feast

Some gatherings deserve to be remembered. This project captures the quiet drama of a December table, where candlelight falls on dark grapes, aged cheese, and artisan bread, and the evening stretches long and unhurried.

The table is set with intention. Deep purple grapes spill from a crystal bowl and tumble across heirloom silver platters. A creamy Camembert sits alongside a wedge of aged cheese, golden walnuts, and a slab of blue cheese cut to reveal its marbled interior. Dark sourdough loaves, dense and crackled, rest nearby. Cured sausages curl on silver. A sculptural mound of butter stands beside dripping red candles, wax running down an empty wine bottle of Bel'Ondine. A wreath of dried deep red leaves hangs on the wall above it all.

Then the wine. A bottle of Claus Preisinger Zweigelt poured into engraved crystal glasses, dark and still, the grapes that made it resting at the base of the bottle. The whole arc from vine to glass is told in a single frame.

And then the aftermath. Silver platters scattered with crumbs, smears of melted cheese, a lone grape, a broken piece of bread. The feast is over. What remains is just as beautiful as what came before.
