The Rhubarb
A celebration of one ingredient in all its forms. Rhubarb takes centre stage across a series of images that move from raw to refined, wild to composed. The Rhubarb Woman holds the plant where her face should be, half human, half harvest. A sculptural face vase wears the stems as wild, unruly hair. A pale pink Rhubarb Cosmopolitan gives the classic cocktail a sharp, garden-grown edge. Dried petals scatter across handmade ceramic. A rhubarb crumble tart sits atop a sculptural vessel, crowned with a curl of caramelised rhubarb.
Shot against a deep magenta backdrop that mirrors the vegetable's own hues, the project explores the tension between the organic and the crafted. Each frame is its own world, yet together they tell a single story about seasonality, texture, and the quiet drama of one ingredient.
